Everyone who has gotten into WordPress has had to learn the ropes of what tools and technology works best for them. My goal in this presentation is to describe what I consider to be a beginner’s toolbox to building a great website with WordPress.
Over the years, I have tried and cataloged a list of themes, plugins and hosts that I feel are great for the first time site builders and bloggers.
In this talk, I will walk through the process of building a site from scratch starting with hosting, installing WP, configuring a quality theme and plugins pertaining to the service oriented demo site I will be building.
I will then make the checklist available for download from my website as well as links to other resources. This will be followed by a quick Q and A.
