Cameron Barrett

Cameron (@camworld) pioneered the blog format in the late 1990s. He’s built web sites for presidential candidates, the U.S. Army, the World Economic Forum and led the migration of 70+ web sites from a proprietary SaaS to WordPress for NJ’s largest public school district. He’s now migrating all 14,000+ U.S. public school districts to WordPress, saving millions of taxpayer dollars. He hails from Northern Michigan and currently lives outside of NYC.

Jason Lawton

Jason Lawton (@phoopee3) has been developing websites since 1996, and using WordPress to do so for almost 10 years. During the day he works for a design agency as a WordPress developer focusing on custom theme and plugin development. During the night he enjoys programming in WordPress, playing video games, reading, and spending time with his family (not necessarily in that order).

Mike Auteri

Mike (@mauteri) has been working with WordPress for more than a decade, and professionally in the WordPress VIP environment for 6 years. He’s contributed to WordPress core, maintains a few plugins, and is a co-organizer for the WordPress Montclair Meetup.

In his current position at Penske Media Corporation (Variety.com, WWD.com, RollingStone.com, Deadline.com, Indiewire.com et al), he’s lead engineer for the subscriptions team. Most of the team’s work is handling the company’s subscriber base and providing them with access to paywalled content on WordPress sites as well as access to other non-WordPress products.

Prior to PMC, Mike worked at Interactive One as lead WordPress developer.

When Mike isn’t working, he’s drinking craft beer and eating things with hot sauce.

Jeffrey Marbury

Jeffrey is a career Information Technology professional with specific focus in the areas of Help Desk/Desktop Support and Customer Service management. He has managed teams for such companies as MasterCard, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Engelhard Corporation, now a fully-owned subsidiary of BASF.

For the next phase of his career, Jeffrey will be working on creating websites for small businesses as well as blogging, specifically for the benefit of those engaged in fulfilling customer requirements in business interactions. Andres Escobar

Andres Escobar is a Sr. Software Engineer at PMC. He is a self-taught digital architect who believes in the WordPress mission to democratize publishing.

In his spare time, Andres volunteers teaching kids how to code in his home town of Hoboken, NJ.

Stephen Kriso

Stephen has been involved in web-based media since 1997. He entered the WordPress space in 2007 with his own music industry focused blog. Since then, he has built several of his own sites on WP and continued to coach and mentor others needing assistance. He also offers coaching in business startup strategy and digital marketing to budding entrepreneurs and small business owners.

This past September, Stephen completed the WP Elevation program for Digital Business Consultants and is also a graduate of the Disney Institute where facilitators share insights on best business practices. In 2014, he took part in Disney’s Approach to Business Excellence and will be attending their Customer Experience Summit this August.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing piano, guitar, bass and writing music as well as photography.

Anthony is a Technical Support Consultant at Your Mak Guy Computing Services, assisting people with their technological problems whether be iPhone/iPad, Mac, Podcast, filming, website, or other challenges. Affiliated with the internet building web sites and blogging since Yahoo!’s GeoCities heyday and AOL Journals (respectively) under various pen names. In addition to volunteering for the WordPress Montclair group, he volunteers at Job Seekers of Montclair (an organization offering free, non-sectarian job search training and support group,) as a Steering Committee member and topic speaker. The Job Seekers organization holds meetings every Wednesday night at 7:30pm in St. Luke’s Church dining hall, around the corner from the Wordcamp Montclair site.

Mickey Diener

Mickey is a retired Technology Project Manager and IS Director who worked in the Public Sector and Healthcare Information Systems industry for over 30 years.

He now spends time learning front-end and back-end web development as well as volunteering as a WordPress website designer and builder for political organizations and NGOs.

Fremy Santana

Fremy is a freelance Front End Developer and relatively new member of the WordPress community. He spends his time deepening his knowledge of the various aspects of development, volunteering, and freelancing. Outside of development, he is an avid music listener.

Gary Scarano

Gary is a MBA graduate of Columbia University and has presently works for
Fidelity Dealer Services.

He was Senior Product Manager for Verzion, where he worked for 26 years.
Gary managed the first launch of a national Calling Card by any Bell
Operating company in the nation. As part of this Verizon launch, he was
interviewed by CNN twice, (once on the Lou Dobbs Show,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4FRTYa-NUA); and once by the New York Times.

He was also a Consultant as part of the Verizon Emerging Technologies. He
completed customer experience QA reviews of Verizon’s entertainment and
mass business products. He worked daily with mobile devices performing
functionality testing of new and existing features / services on TV’s,
STB’s, DVR’s, and streaming-OTT devices. He performed ‘best-in-class’
analysis of VOD, Redbox (and Redbox instant), Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon
Prime (including Amazon Instant Video), HBO GO, Showtime Anytime, Hulu,
Roku, and Slingbox.

Gary was the Social Media “face” for the Verizon FiOS MDU National Sales
and Marketing organization. He was responsible for engaging large business
customers and consumers on various Social Media Platforms. He received
Social Media training from and was authorized to represent Verizon online.

Gary has spoken at conferences nationally, in San Diego, Fort Lauderdale,
Las Vegas, and New York, in addition to conducting numerous Social Media
Webinars. Gary held the title of Social Media Expert for Local Guerrilla
Marketing, the brand made famous by 30 Million copies of books Jay Conrad
Levinson wrote.

He is the founder and one of the Principals of ReachOut Communication’s
Corp. (ROCC) online marketing, social media, and video marketing company
providing effective ways for those in the medical / health field to find
new customers and reconnect with former customers. Among ROCC’s clients are
a number of nationally known Doctors.

In 1984, Gary ran with the Torch for the Los Angeles Olympics. Gary has
been happily married for 33 years and is the father to three wonderful
girls.
