    Spotlighting WordCamp Speaker: Clare Parkinson

    Clare has been working with WordPress since 2010 and is the WordPress Development Lead at DevCollaborative. Her specialty is the WordPress back-end: getting all the parts to play nicely together so the user experience is as simple as possible. She is the organizer for the WordPress Naperville Meetup in Chicago’s western suburbs.

    Allie is the Senior Digital Project Manager at DevCollaborative. They have been managing projects and teams for over 15 years and have more than a decade’s experience in web development. They lead with clear and transparent communication, and break down individual silos to share important information across all project sources. Allie loves clean documentation and enjoys a good well-structured gantt chart. Allie and their spouse and stepdaughter live in western Massachusetts, among the love of a dog and a cat.

    Best Western Plus in Fairfield – About 8 miles from the WordCamp. They offer a complimentary hot breakfast, plus yogurt, juice, and coffee. There are accessible rooms, entrances, and interior routes. Free on-site parking.

    Mid-priced

    The Courtyard by Marriott in Fairfield – Less than five miles away. It has an indoor pool. You can find detailed accessibility information on their website. Free coffee and tea, an on site restaurant is open for breakfast, cocktails, and dinner. Free on-site parking.
