Erica Varlese works at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, and is a sponsored contributor to the WordPress project. She first discovered WordPress when building a portfolio as a freelance writer more than ten years ago; the rest, as they say, is history. She is a WordPress Community Deputy, former Polyglots contributor team representative, and translator for Brazilian Portuguese.
